Hey, can we talk about lace shawls for a second? I swear, these things are like magic.
You know those days when you’re not sure if it’ll be warm or chilly? Bam, lace shawl to the rescue.
I’ve got this one that’s my go-to for everything. Threw it on over a tank top for a coffee run. Later that night, used the same shawl to fancy up my outfit for dinner with the girls. It’s wild how versatile they are.
And styling them? So easy.
Sometimes I just toss it over my shoulders and go. Other times, if I’m feeling fancy, I’ll do this wrap-around thing and use a cute pin to keep it in place. Works with jeans, dresses, you name it. I’ve got a neutral one that goes with everything,

Let’s get to the pattern, shall we? Making the Lace Crochet Shawl Wrap Flower Star
Materials
- Cygnet Yarn, Aran, 100gr, 100% Acrylic, 210 mt, 230 yards color 288 cream
- Cygnet Yarn, Aran, 100gr, 100% Acrylic, 210 mt, 230 yards color 275 blush
For this sample, I used 2 skeins of cream and just a bit of blush.

You can work this pattern with any yarn weight and hook size, it will change the measurements.
Hook: US Size (6 mm)
Yarn Needle, Scissors, Measuring Tape
Gauge
- Not relevant
Sizes
- This sample is 65” in length and 15” wide,
Stitch Key
- Ch = Chain
- Sc = Single Crochet
- Dc = Double Crochet
- Tr = Treble Crochet
- St = Stitch
- Yo = Yarn over
- Slst = Slip stitch
Notes
- This pattern is written in US terminology
- The pattern is worked in vertical rows
- Ch 6 at the beginning of the row does count as Tr +Ch2
- This pattern uses pattern repeats.
- You can work this pattern with one color or multiple as you wish- I used one solid color for the main part and an accent color.
- If changing colors make sure to have a changing technique and weave your ends in.
- You can decide on the width and length of the Shawl by adding multiples of chains at the foundation and row repeats.
- This pattern calls for chain multiples of 10+7
Instructions
Ch 30+7
Row 1: Tr1 in 7th Ch from hook, *[Ch3, skip 4, Sc1 in next Ch, Ch3, skip 4 (Tr1+Ch5+Tr1) in next Ch ]*Repeat from *to* across to end of the chain, Finish with (Tr1+Ch2+Tr1) in last Ch. turn work
Row 2: Ch4, Sc1 in 1st Ch space, *[Ch3, (Tr1+Ch5+Tr1) in next Sc st from prev row, Ch3, Sc1 in next Ch space]* * repeat from *to* , end with last Sc in last Ch space,turn work
Row 3: Ch6 (counts as Tr+Ch2), Tr1 in 1st Sc st, *[Ch3, Sc1 in next Ch space, Ch3, (Tr1+Ch5+Tr1) on top of next Sc from prev row]*, repeat from *to* across, end with (Tr1+Ch2+Tr1)in 3rd Ch of turning Ch, turn work
Rows 2-3 are the repeat pattern for this entire Shawl
Change colors if you choose to at any time.

Cut yarn and weave in ends.
