Let’s get to the pattern, shall we?

Difficulty

  • Beginners Friendly

Materials Used

  1. I used Klaus Koch Kollektion 100gr  400 meter # 100 305, but of course, you can use any bulky yarn of your choice
  2. 6mm hook, scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers

Measurements

This is a Slouch Hat  Size  for women adult

Stitches Used

ch = chain

sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
st = stitches
sl st = slip stitch

Tr st =  Treble stitch

Speciality Stitch

Sc2tog = Single crochet 2 together ( Insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull up loop (2 loops on hook), Insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook

Notes

This Pattern is beginners friendly, and it uses only basic stitches, of course, you have to be familiar with single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch, if you are not please visit these Youtube Channel tutorials before starting this Project.

This Pattern is worked on rounds

The Cross stitch is very easy; the instructions will be later in the pattern.

Now to the Instructions!

Instructions:

R1: ch 4 and sl st to 1st ch. Create a circle. 

R2:   ch 2 does not count as st- dc 12 inside the circle, sl to ch2 and turn your work

R3: ch2 does not count as st, dc 2 in each dc from prev round (increasing to 24 dc) sl st on ch2 and turn your work

R4: ch2 does not count as st, dc 2 in each  dc from prev round  (increasing to 48 dc) sl st on ch2 and turn your work

R5+6:  ch2 does not count as st, Xst ( sk1 st, dc 1, dc in sk st) around without increasing for 2 rounds- end round with slst in ch2.

Let’s Continue…..

R7-9:  ch2 does not count as st, increase round, dc2 in next dc from prev round, *[dc 1, dc 1, dc1, dc 2 in next dc ]* repeat from *to*  to end of the round, slst to ch 2

R10+11: Repeat R5 + 6 the Xst rounds without increasing.sl st to ch2

R12-13: ch1 and turn-  decreasing rows- sc2tog evenly around ( it doesn’t really matter where but make it evenly around) to a total of 38 st

R14: ch2 does not count as st, dc in every sc from prev round, sl st in ch 2.

R15-16: ch1 and sc in every dc from prev round- if you feel according to the yarn that you need to decrease more- do so here- always try it on and feel if it is good for the size of your head.

Finish the hat with sl st. secure the yarn and weave in the ends
