We are super excited to launch our 2nd annual From Us to You Crochet Donation Challenge 2025.

This year we will have more in-depth experience for you.

Every month the Crochet donation challenge will feature a new stitch and a video tutorial of the stitch will go live on YouTube for you to follow

We will design a hat and a scarf each month using the monthly stitch

Both patterns the hat and the scarf will be featured in the same color and will have a white stripe so you can spot them from far….

That’s the whole idea behind the ‘From Us to You’ free crochet pattern Donation Challenge!

So, as crocheters, we’re not just good at making things; we’re spreading joy and comfort. And with all the crazy stuff happening in the world right now, it’s the perfect time to use our crochet powers for something good. No matter what, one thing always stands strong – the incredible feeling of giving.

Introducing the ‘From Us to You’ Donation Challenge 2025! It’s an open invite for crocheters of all levels to come together, grab those hooks, and create beautiful handmade items for folks in need in your local community.

Now, here’s a little story about how this awesome idea came about. Meet Helen from Sunflower Cottage Crochet – we connected during online crochet events, and since our time zones matched up, it just made sense for us to team up. We were chatting, and Helen threw out this amazing idea for a free crochet pattern donation challenge. And you know me by now, I was totally on board!

How this Crochet Donation challenge will work?

Starting January 8th, 2025

There will be 2 patterns released each month as part of the ‘From Us to You‘ Event – one on the second Wednesday and one on the fourth Wednesday.

The patterns will all be added to the bottom of this post – so be sure to check back often!⬇️

Each pattern will be a new design from either myself or Helen and a video tutorial will be live on YouTube.

Bonus – they are perfect for using your stash as well as donating. They will be either beginner or intermediate crochet patterns.

👉The PDF version will be free for the first 3 days upon release

*Please note that in return for the free PDF, you are pledging to make at least one item from this pattern to donate to charity or within your community.

You can choose to donate locally or send items to organizations around the globe. The choice is yours to make.
