When was the last time you crocheted a Happy Neck Warmer?
In May, we celebrate World Bee Day, which is amazing because the bees keep us going and are so important to the ecological system of the world!
So this neck warmer pattern represents the rich and super power influence of the bees creating honey!
This cowl pattern is part of a set. Follow the main post of the CAL event to find the matching hat that will be published by May 28th, 2025

Stitch used for this project!
I designed this neck warmer on a chilly morning when I wanted something quick to make but with a little texture to keep things interesting.
The almond stitch has been one of my favorites lately—it’s got this cozy, petal-like look that feels a bit fancy without requiring too much brainpower.
Once you get the rhythm, it’s almost meditative.
I added the white band for a snug fit and a bit of contrast, and now I’ve got a go-to layer for those grab-and-go days when I just need a little extra warmth (and style!).

Repeat rows 2-5 as many times as you want your neck warmer/cowl width to be.
**I worked 20 rows, changed to color white and worked 2 rows, changed back to color gold and worked 2 more rows. A total of 24 rows for this size.

The connecting stripe
Using white color, Ch 24 +1( or the number of rows you worked +1)
Row 1: Sc 1 in 2nd st from hook, sc 1 in next st and across to last st, turn work (24)
Row 2+3: Ch 1, hdc 1 in 1st st from hook, hdc 1 in next and across to last st, turn work (24)
Row 4: Ch 1, sc 1 in 1st st from hook, sc 1 in next st and across to last st,(24)
Construction
Lay the connection stripe length on the right side, facing the right side of the scarf. Sc 1 together both parts, working the same on the opposite side for a total of 24 stitches on each side.
This will give you extra texture
Finishing
Cut your yarn and weave in the ends.
Enjoy!
