I decided to make a blanket.
Not just any blanket but one that would teach me something. Or more honestly, one that would remind me why I love this craft so much.
Twelve sections, twelve different stitches, all worked in the same yarn, so the whole thing grows together into something beautiful.
I am filming each section and releasing one video every week on YouTube. No rush. No pressure. Just one stitch at a time, together.
If you want to make this blanket with me, download the free tracker below you can use it as you go. I made it because I needed one myself.

What you need to get started
Yarn: one consistent yarn throughout. I am using weight #4 acrylic in several colors from my stash. Using the same yarn for all 12 sections is what makes the blanket work as a whole piece rather than a patchwork of different textures.
Hook:5.5 mm
Skill level: All stitches are beginner-friendly. Every section has a full written and video tutorial linked below, so if a stitch is new to you, everything you need is there.
The 12 sections: week by week
Week 1: The Sieve Stitch β Live April 20th 2026
Clean square patterns that build up fast and look genuinely beautiful. The Sieve Stitch is one of those stitches that surprises people, it is much simpler than it looks, and the result is so satisfying. A perfect stitch to start a blanket

Week 2: The Primrose Stitch β Live April 27th
That delicate rose-like texture you see in the first section is the Primrose Stitch. It looks intricate but it is a simple two-row repeat that finds its own rhythm quickly.
I chose it for the second section because it softens the square structure of the Sieve stitch

Week 3:The Slat Stitch β Live May 4th
This stitch brings back stucture to our blanket and lots of texture
