If you ask me, fall here in Israel lasts about two days.
One week it’s still summer, and then almost without noticing, we’re somewhere between warm and cool, and that’s it, winter arrives.
Our winters aren’t very cold either, so a lot of what I make ends up living somewhere in between, not quite a summer piece, not quite a heavy winter one.

This one is genuinely built for right now.
Worked in a bulky yarn on one simple rectangle, it’s light enough for a cool morning and substantial enough for a chilly evening on the porch.
Bell sleeves and a row of pompoms along the back hem make it feel a little more finished than a plain rectangle shrug.
A warmer, wool blend option for when the air really turns.
Worked in two color-blocked rectangles with a quick X treble stitch, this one comes together in a weekend and gives you real warmth across the shoulders.
Originally one of my spring pieces, but a lightweight shawl earns its place in fall too, draped over your shoulders for that in-between chill before the heavy sweaters come out, or as a soft cover-up for cooler evenings.
For Your Head
The Spike Double Crochet Beanie — A textured, two-color beanie with a woven, layered look. Worked in worsted weight, it’s a satisfying project once the weather starts asking for hats again.
Coastal Waves Slouchy Hat — A wavy stitch pattern that works just as well in fall tones as it did in its original summer colors. Slouchy, easy to wear, and a nice project if you want to learn a new stitch combination.
For Cozy Days In
Simple rectangle construction, chunky yarn, and a textured Suzette stitch that feels wonderful underfoot.
These are exactly the kind of quick, satisfying project that makes a house feel a little more like fall.

This one can go either way depending on your yarn choice, cotton for summer, or a warmer acrylic or wool blend for a simple fall vest layered over a long sleeve top.
For Your Neck
Classic granny squares joined into a cowl shape, a good beginner project if you’re newer to crochet, and a cozy, practical accessory once the weather turns.
