What is the story behind the Naples Crochet Table Runner?

Well, as you all know me, or maybe you do not so read here, we are experiencing very stressful times where I live.

For months I could not force myself to move out of my house, I was very scared and mostly sad about the consequences of what is still going on.

We love to travel and we love Italy very much, so after many months, we decided to fly out to Naples for a few days to clear our minds and breathe fresh air.

It was a great decision! The smell of Pizza, the narrow allies, the ruins of Pompeii, and the beautiful Amalfi Coast filled me with new energy!

When I designed this crochet table runner Naples was in my mind!

What Size Should a Crochet Table Runner Be?

The length of a table runner is something you can determine yourself and it depends on the size of your table.

Although, the standard size of a table runner varies between a length of 36-108” (91-274 cm), and a width of 10-15” (25-38 cm).

This Boho-style crochet table pattern can be made any size you decide by just adding rows of the repeat pattern as instructed below.

About the Naples Table Runner Yarn

For this sample, I used the stash yarn I had at home. With the war going on and the flights canceled from many countries, I did not get my yarn orders on time so I used acrylic yarn instead of a cotton yarn.

This is a #5 weight yarn that is very durable, but I would recommend using cotton yarn.
