What can I tell you about this Almond Stitch Crochet washcloth?
- It uses only 2 basic stitches: the slip stitch and half double crochet
- When using two strands you get a very very strong washcloth
- I love to use them in showers but can be used in the kitchen as well

Notes
- This pattern is worked in rows.
- Ch 1 at the beginning of the round does not count as a stitch
- From row 2, all stitches will be worked on the back loop only
- I used two strands for this pattern for a more sturdy fabric
- This stitch calls for multiples of 8+5
Instructions
Chain 24+5
Row 1:Sl st in 2nd st from hook, slst in next 3 st, *[hdc 1 in next 4 st, slst in next 4 st]* repeat from *to * to end of row, ch 1 and turn
Row 2::Back loop only for all stitches,Slst in 1st st from hook and in next 3 st, *[hdc 1 in next 4 st, slst in next 4 st]* repeat from *to* to end of row, ch 1 and turn
Row 3+4: Back loop only for all stitches. Hdc 1 in 1st st from hook and in next 3 st, *[slst in next 4 st, hdc 1 in next 4 st]* repeat from *to* to end of row
Row 5+6::Repeat row 2
Row 7+8: Repeat row 3
Continue working every two rows alternating between row 2 and row 3 up to row 21
Row 22: Slst 1st st from the hook, slst next st, and across to the end of the row
Secure yarn, cut, and weave in ends.
Finishing
I am using two strands of yarn so the fabric is very straight and sturdy and no need for an edge around.
If you use one strand- consider adding an edge of Single crochet stitches around- one on each st and (sc 1+ch1+sc1) on each corner
Block the project
Enjoy!
