How do you turn a circle into a granny square?
To turn a crochet circle into a granny square, start by using stitches of varying heights across the round.
Begin with a standard crochet circle, then strategically place taller stitches, like double or treble crochets, at the four points where you want the corners of your square to form.
This creates the necessary angles and begins to shape the circle into a square.
Fill the sides between the corners with shorter stitches, like single or half-double crochets, to even out the edges.

Sew A Liner
You can sew a simple fabric lining in your finished bag. Not only does this prevent stretch, it also ensures your tiny items don’t escape.
Decrease Your Hook Size
Use a smaller hook size to create a tighter stitch. I used my 5 mm hook in this project with a bulky weight yarn so the stitches would be tighter
