Debbie in her own words
As a retired professional concert singer and voice teacher, I knew I wanted my second career to be in the field of crochet. That’s why I created MadameStitch.
I’ve been crocheting my whole life and started designing and writing my own patterns over 10 years ago. While I design with a variety of simple stitches and techniques, my true love is granny squares. Almost all of my designs explore the versatility of this classic design element and its component stitch, the granny stitch.
An avid crochet designer, detailed pattern writer, and in demand tech editor, I honor the simple elegance of the timeless granny square through innovative designs that every busy crafter will love crocheting.
My designs are aimed at the busy crafter who wants to get lost in the rhythmic movement of yarn and hook while creating elegant pieces for herself, her family and her home. Every piece brings joy to the maker and delight to the recipient. That’s what I hope for you when you make a MadameStitch design!s.
