Let’s get to the pattern, shall we? Making the Nectar Crochet Coaster

Materials

I used a cotton yarn double-stranded. This is the yarn I had at hand. Do not forget I made a sample for you to learn, so be creative and choose the yarn you love.

Feel it before starting your project.

I know there are a million different yarn choices out there, but that also depends on where you live, so just be creative!

Spike st: work the stitch two rounds down in the designated st


Notes

  • This pattern is written in US terminology
  • This pattern is worked in rounds.
  • Ch 3 does count as 1st st at the beginning of the round 
  • Ch 1 does not count as a stitch at the beginning of the round 
  • I used one color; you can use two or more colors to make the pattern stand out

Drift Coaster Instructions

Instructions

Make 4 or 6 identical

Ch 5, and join with Slst to form a ring or use the magic circle method

Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), work 11 more dc in the ring for a total of 12, Slst to ch3,

Round 2: Ch 3(counts as dc), work 2 more dc in same st, ch 2, skip 1 st, *dc 3 in next st, ch 2, skip next st, repeat from * four more times, join with SlSt to top of ch 3.

Round 3: Ch 3(counts as dc), dc 2  in next st, dc 1 in next st, dc 3 in next ch 2 space, * dc 1 in next st, dc 3 in next ch 2 space, repeat from * around, join with Slst to 1st st.

Round 4: Ch 1, sc 1in 1st st from hook and  in each st around, join with Slst to 1st stRound 5: Ch 1, sc 1 in 1st st from hook, Spike sc in next st, * sc 1 in next  st, Spike sc in next st, repeat from * around, Join with Slst to 1st st


Finishing

Make a set of 4 or 6, block your coasters, weave in ends, and enjoy!
