Barcelona if one of my favorite cities in the world! So This is a favorite crochet washcloth pattern that has the style of the ancient city.
When I designed this crochet washcloth I was traveling Spain . You cannot stay the same after experiencing so much beauty right? The shells of the washcloth represent the gothic quarter of the city and also reminded me of the Alhambra in Granada.

What yarn to use for a crocheted washcloth

- Hook: 5 mm

- Dc = Double Crochet

Shell stitch: (Skip 2 st, dc 5 in next st, skip 2 st, sc 1 in next)
Notes
- This pattern is worked in rows.
- Ch 1 at the beginning of the row does not count as st
- Ch 2 at the beginning of the row does count as a stitch

Chain 25+1
Row 1:Sc 1 in 2nd st from hook, sc 1 in next and across to end of the row, turn (25)
Row 2: Ch 1, Shell st starting in 1st st from hook and across to end of row, finish with sc 1 (25)
Row 3: Ch 4 (counts as 1st st and ch 2), *[sc 1 on top of 3rd dc from prev row, skip 2 st, ch 2, dc 1 on top of sc from prev row, skip 2, ch 2 ]* repeat across to end of row, finish with dc on last st, turn (25)
