For those who atlre allergic to wool, can you suggest a yarn substitute? Is this a worsted weight or chunky yarn? I’ve not heard of it before. The pattern looks easy and fun!
Hi Nicole!
This is more worsted weight- You can use any acrylic or cotton yarn- just make a gauge swatch to make sure you have the right sizing and amount of yarn. And I recommend trying different hook sizes depending on your yarn choise to get the feeling you want- open and loose or more dense. Hope this helps!

I love this shrug, however, I do not have access to this yarn in the US and couldn’t find a substitute on yarnsub.com. I did find the yarn on a website, which lists the yarn as a #4 Aran weight yarn. Do you find this to be so? I live in a very warm climate, so wanted a non-wool substitute if you think that would work well with your pattern.
Hi Joan!
Thank you for asking- Yes it is a weight #4 worsted weight, I used a 6mm hook for the pattern to be open- whatever yarn you choose’ make a gauge swatch and play with hook sizes to get the exact feel you are looking for. Hope this helps!
Sandra
Anyway I can print the pattern
Appreciate the recommendation. Will try it out.
