What skill level will I need for this crochet scroll-size blanket pattern?
This scroll-size baby blanket crochet pattern is intermediate level, It uses stitch combinations you need to learn like Front posts and Front posts 2 together. Once you get them it is super easy!
The great thing about this crochet blanket design is the stripes. What this means is you decide how wide or long your blanket will be

Notes
- This pattern is written in US terminology
- This pattern is worked in rows and rounds
- This pattern is worked in 4 separated strips and joined to a square
- Each strip is worked in a different color, joining the strips and the border worked in the dark brown color
- You can work this pattern with one color or multiple as you wish. I used three colors
- This pattern is a 2-row repeat
- This pattern calls for a multiple of 4+1
Instructions
Make 4 stripes I worked two stripes in color A and 2 stripes in color B
For a wider blanket, make more stripes
Ch16+1 ( this will give you 4 “ fans” and a 6” width stripe
👉If you want a wider stripe, add multiples of 4+1
Row 1: Start in 6th ch from hook V st (dc1+ch2+dc1), *skip 3 ch, Vst in next ch, repeat from * to last 3 ch, skip 2 ch, dc 1 in the last ch, turn
Row 2: Ch 3, FpDc in next st( this will be the 1st dc of the V st from prev row), *work into next ch 2 space ( dc 3+ch1+dc3), FpDc2tog ( working the 2nd dc from 1st v st and 1st dc from next v st), repeat from * to last 2 st, Fpdc in 2nd cf from last V st, dc 1 on top of ch 3, turn
Row 3: Ch 3, (dc1+ch2+dc1 in next ch 1 space ( between dc 3 ‘s from prev row), repeat to last, finish with dc 1 on top of ch 3, turn
Rows 4-43: Repeat rows 2+3
For a longer blanket, continue repeating rows 2+3. Make sure to end with row 3

Construction
Use Color C for the edge and joining
Edge
Round 1: Start at a corner of the stripe, (sc 1+ch1+sc 1), *sc 1 in next st and around to next corner, (sc1+ch1+sc1) in the corner, repeat from * around, Slst to 1st st, turn
👉Now we will work on the length of each stripe
Row 2: Slst to ch1 space,(Ch3+dc1+ch1+dc2)in ch1 space corner, Ch 1, skip 1, dc 1 in next 2 st, *ch 1 skip 1, dc 1 in next 2 st, repeat from * to end of row, secure yarn
Work a repeat of Row 2 on two ends for a final finish
Repeat Row 2 on the second length
Work the same on all stripes separately
Lay 2 stripes wrong side up and join the stripes using a tapestry needle on the length part.
Join all 4 stripes
