This Granny Crochet Bucket Hat is part of a set that matches the Salt & Pepper Granny Gloves.
I designed them as part of my Winter Crochet Sets Blog Hop for January 2025.
When choosing the yarn for this granny bucket hat I went for a very bulky cotton yarn because it gave the set a warm and chunky feeling, but any yarn will do.
I love the self-color changing of this yarn and decided to call the Hat and Goves Set : Salt & Pepper
Anyway this is a super cute granny bucket hat with a ruffle brim using a basic granny square

Why a Granny Crochet Bucket Hat? with a ruffle brim?
Ever wonder why bucket hats are everywhere?
They’re seriously the most chill hat you’ll ever own. Think about it β they cover your face, look cool, and basically scream “I’ve got style without trying too hard.”
Crocheting your own makes it even more cool. These hats aren’t just about looking good; they’re like your personal sun and wind shield.
For the times you are running errands, hanging out with friends, or just wanting something comfy , a bucket hat is your new bestie.
And when you make it yourself? Total game changer. You get to pick the colors, play with fun textures, and end up with something way more interesting than anything you’d buy in a store.
Plus, that ruffle brim? Pure magic.
