Stylish Crochet Cowl – Skyward

This stylish crochet cowl uses one of my favorite crochet stitches: the Bar stitch- you can find the video tutorial below👇

I just finished this beauty and had to share! The Skyward cowl brings together those gorgeous blues with cream accents that really pop. If you’re looking for a stylish crochet cowl that works for everyday wear but still feels special, this one’s for you.

What makes Skyward perfect for us 50+ gals? It’s light enough to not feel bulky but substantial enough to keep the chill away. Plus, those blues are universally flattering and pair with everything from jeans to dressier outfits. But you can absolutely change the colors!

The bar pattern adds just enough interest without being complicated to wear. Throw it on with your favorite jacket or sweater, and you’ve instantly elevated your look with minimal effort.

Love when something is both pretty AND practical! Who else needs this in their rotation this season?

Are you with me?

People Also Ask, “How difficult is it to make a crochet cowl?”

Don’t let those gorgeous stitches intimidate you!

One question we get all the time is about the difficulty level of making a crochet cowl like Skyward.

The truth? It’s way more doable than it looks! Even if you’ve only mastered the basics – chain, single and double crochet – you can totally handle this project.

The bar pattern might look fancy, but it’s really just a front post double crochet stitch that becomes second nature after the first few rows.

What makes cowls particularly beginner-friendly is that they’re smaller than scarves or blankets, meaning you’ll get that satisfying finished-project feeling much faster!

If you can set aside a couple of evenings with your favorite Netflix show, you’ll have your own Skyward cowl ready to wear before you know it.
