Crochet Mandala Wall Hanging4

Simple Crochet Mandala Coaster or Wall Hanging

One of the things I adore about this design is how versatile it is.

You can stop after just a few rounds and have a pretty crochet mandala coaster pattern, or keep adding rounds to create a larger piece.

With a lightweight cotton yarn, it makes a perfect boho-style mandala wall hanging that adds color and texture to any room.

Play with color changes in each round to create a vibrant design, or keep it minimal and modern with a single shade.

This free pattern is easy to customize and makes a thoughtful handmade gift too.

Ideas for Using Your Crochet Mandala

Once you finish your mandala, you’ll have a piece that’s both decorative and practical.

A small version makes a lovely crochet mandala coaster, while a larger one can be framed or used as a boho mandala wall hanging.

You can even join several together for a colorful table runner or use them as appliqués on bags and pillows.

This pattern is simple to adapt; just play with yarn thickness, hook size, and color choices to get a whole new look every time you make one.

How to Stretch Your Crochet Mandala on a Ring

One of the prettiest ways to finish this simple crochet mandala free pattern for beginners is by stretching it onto a metal or wooden ring. This quick step transforms your project into a polished boho mandala wall hanging that’s ready to display in your home or give as a handmade gift.

To do this, choose a ring that’s close to the size of your finished piece. Place your mandala inside the ring, making sure it’s centered, and then use yarn or thread to slipstitch the picots to the edge to the ring.

If you’ve been following along with this easy crochet mandala pattern step by step, you’ll notice how beautifully the design blooms once it’s stretched flat.

This finishing technique not only keeps the mandala’s shape crisp, it also gives you the option to play with size and style. Smaller rings make charming crochet mandala coasters, while larger ones become eye-catching boho crochet wall art.
