Materials

I used a cotton yarn double-stranded. This is the yarn I had at hand. Do not forget I made a sample for you to learn, so be creative and choose the yarn you love.

Feel it before starting your project.

I know there are a million different yarn choices out there, but that also depends on where you live, so just be creative!

  • This pattern is written in US terminology
  • This pattern is worked in rounds.
  • Ch 3 does count as 1st st at the beginning of the round 
  • Ch 1 does not count as a stitch at the beginning of the round 
  • I used one color; you can use two or more colors to make the pattern stand out

Echo Coaster Instructions

Instructions

Make 4 or 6 identical

Ch 6, and join with Slst to form a ring or use the magic circle method

Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc 2 in the ring*ch 3+dc3) in the ring, repeat from * four more times. Join with dc to the top of ch 3.

Round 2: Ch 3(counts as dc)(dc 2+ch1+dc 3 in space made by dc, * ( dc 3+ch1+dc 3) in next ch 3 space, repeat from * around, join with SlSt to top of ch 3.

Round 3: Ch 3(counts as dc), Dc 1 in next 2 dc, *( dc 1+ ch 2+dc 1 in next ch 1 space, dc 1 in next 6 dc, repeat from *  five more times ending last dc repeat in next 3 dc,  join with Slst to 1st st.

Round 4: Ch 1, sc 1in 1st st from hook * sc 1 in each dc to corner, ( sc 1+ch2+sc1) in corner ch 2 space, repeat from* around, ending with 1 sc in each dc to the end of the round, join with Slst to 1st st


Finishing

Make a set of 4 or 6, block your coasters, weave in ends, and enjoy!
