  2. 5mm hook, scissors, and tapestry needle.

Measurements

Length: 166 cm  width: 26 cm

Stitches Used

ch = chain dc = double crochet

Sc = single crochet

X st =  cross stitch crochet

st = stitches

Gauge for this pattern using this yarn:

10cm X 10cm = 10 st X 7 rows

Instructions:

Foundation chain:  chain 167 +2

R1: hdc1 in 2nd ch from hook and hdc in every ch across to the end of row.

Next R2: The Cross st ch3 and turn your work (counts as 1st dc, sk1, dc in next st, dc in prior sk st to  compose an X, sk 1, dc in next st, dc in skipped st, and so on across to the end of row- you should finish the row with 1dc

Now to R3:  ch3 and turn your work (counts as 1st dc) dc in next st, dc in next st and in every st from prev row across to end of row

R4: ch 4 and turn your work (counts as 1 dc + 1ch space), sk 1, dc 1 in next st, ch 1, sk 1, dc 1 in next st, and so on across to end of row

Work R5:  ch3 and turn your work (counts as 1st dc) dc in next st, dc in next st and in every st from prev row across to end of row

And R6:ch3 and turn your work (counts as 1st dc, sk1, dc in next st, dc in prior sk st to  compose an X, sk 1, dc in next st, dc in skipped st, and so on across to the end of row- you should finish the row with 1dc

R7: ch3 and turn your work (counts as 1st dc) dc in next st, dc in next st and in every st from prev row across to end of row

Now R8: ch 4 and turn your work (counts as 1 dc + 1ch space), sk 1, dc 1 in next st, sk 1, dc 1 in next st, and so on across to end of row

Continue with R9: ch 4 and turn your work (counts as 1 dc + 1ch space), sk 1, dc 1 in next st, ch 1, sk 1, dc 1 in next st, and so on across to the end of row
