Materials
Drops Paris 100% cotton, color(A) and (B)
Or any weight #4 cotton yarn
Hook: US Size (4.00 mm)
Yarn Needle, Scissors, Measuring Tape
Gauge
- not relevant
Sizes
This sample is 1.5” wide X 9.5” long
Stitch Key
- Ch = Chain
- Sc = Single Crochet
- Dc = Double Crochet
- St = Stitch
- Tr = Treble Crochet
Specialty Stitches
SpTr = Spike Treble Crochet stitch ( Yo twice, insert hook two rows down, yo, pull yarn, yo, pull trow 2 loops, yo pull trow 2 loops, yo pull throw two last loops
Notes
- This pattern is written in US terminology
- This pattern is worked in rows
- Ch 1 at the beginning of the round does not count as a stitch
- Use two or more colors to make the pattern stand out
Instructions
Start with color A, Ch 30
Row 1: Sc1 in 2nd ch from hook, sc 1 in next and across to end of row, turn (29 st)
Row 2: Ch1, dc 1 in 1st st from hook, dc1 in next and across to end of row, turn (29 st)
Row 3: Ch1, dc 1 in 1st st from hook, dc11 in next, *SpTr 1 in next st, dc 1 in next, Sptr 1 in next, dc 1 in next, Sptr 1 in next, dc 1 in next 5 st, repeat from * one more time, SpTr 1 in next st, dc 1 in next, Sptr 1 in next, dc 1 in next, Sptr 1 in next, dc 1 in last 2 st, turn (29 st)
Row 4: Ch1, sc 1 in 1st st from hook, sc1 in next and across to end of row, turn (29 st)
Finishing
Weave in ends and cut yarn
Block the bookmark and enjoy!
