But trust me, a little patience goes a long way.

Blocking makes your work look crisp, professional, and honestly? Just plain better.

It’s especially amazing for natural fibers and lace patterns – turns your “eh, it’s okay” into “wow, I made that?!”

Here’s what you’ll need for some wet blocking action:

  • Something to block on (fancy mats are nice, but your carpet works too!)
  • Pins (rustproof, please!)
  • Gentle soap (wool wash is great, but mild shampoo works in a pinch)
  • Lukewarm water
  • A towel

Bath Time: Fill your sink with lukewarm water and a splash of soap. Dunk your project and let it soak for about half an hour.

Squeeze (Don’t Wring!): Gently press out the water. No twisting!
