Who is Rashami from Joy of Creation Crochet?

Hello! I’m Rashami, the designer behind Joy of Creation Crochet.
I am a mom of two beautiful kids. And I live in India.
Since childhood, I’ve always loved art and craft. I was a quiet child who enjoyed creating things — paper crafts, painting, embroidery, and other DIY projects.
About 12 years ago, I taught myself to crochet using books and YouTube videos. I started by making small items for my kids, using patterns by other designers. But I never followed them exactly.
I liked to change parts of the pattern to match my taste. Soon, I began making cardigans and bonnets for my kids without using any written pattern.
They weren’t always perfect, but I really loved the process of designing.
Today, I design crochet patterns for garments and accessories for both kids and adults.
I also enjoy designing bags and home decor patterns. I like to design things that are practical, look good, and are easy for others to follow (I always put lot of effort when writing my pattern and explain everything in detail).
Some of my patterns have been featured in crochet magazines.
I’m also proud to be part of the MICQ group that holds a Guinness World Record for the longest crochet scarf.
Apart from crochet, I enjoy painting, reading, photography, craft, and cooking. I have a deep love for nature and all living beings. I try to live simply and make mindful, eco-friendly choices wherever possible.
